WHAT I DO:
I write music! It's piano music that I record/edit/master using recording equipment in my home. When it's finished I post it here and let anyone download it for free. However there is an option to leave a donation. If you do leave a donation, 80% of the total for a given amount of time, is donated to a specified charity. This is considered A LOT! Most people/companies/charities that raise money for others, donate as little as 10% to the organization they are trying to help!
Why Do I Do This:
That is tough for me to describe. I guess I just want my music to mean something, to be part of something bigger. Not to sound too pessimistic, but I get very caught up in all the sad things I see in the world (kids that have diseases, people starving, homelessness, domestic violence, I can go on, and on, and on...). I see these things, and it just makes my heart hurt. This is just my way of trying to help out in some small way. If I can raise money to help make this world just ever so slightly better, that means more to me than trying to sell music downloads for .99 cents my whole life. The people who ultimately benefit from my songs will probably never hear my songs, but their lives will be because of them. Well, really because of YOU! YOU took the time to download songs and make a donation. It's YOU who is making the world better through my music, and that is just so amazing! So thank you for that! I wrote more about the reasons why I want to do this, in this blog post.
How It Works:
Go to the Free Songs tab. Download any songs you want. For free. Donate money if you feel like it. Then I will donate money to the charity chosen at the time. You can read more detailed info about how this works before you make a donation, on the "make a donation" page.
As always, thanks again to all of you who take the time to listen to and share my songs. It really means so much to me!
Please watch this short video below. It just goes over my reasons for wanting to help others and why it's important. It features my song, "Journey."
Thank you again to all of you who have helped support me in my goal of using my music to help others.
